How to Apply

Applications are accepted throughout the year. There is no application fee, and no commitment is incurred until terms are agreed.

The process

Four Steps From Application to Enrollment

1

Submit an Application

A short online form, usually completed in under twenty minutes. No standardized test score is required.

2

Review and Decision

Applications are reviewed as they arrive. A decision is normally issued within two weeks of a complete application.

Establish a Starting Point

On enrollment an initial assessment establishes existing knowledge, so that study begins at the appropriate level.

Begin Study

Students select their study format and assessment methods, and begin the first module. Both may be revised later.

What to provide

Application Requirements

The University is interested in whether an applicant is ready to study, which a single test score does not establish. We ask instead for evidence of what an applicant has done and an account of what they intend.

  • Transcripts or certificates from previous study, where any exists
  • A statement of purpose explaining what you intend to do with the qualification
  • Two references able to speak to your readiness for university study
  • Evidence of English language proficiency, where English is not your first language

Applicants without formal prior qualifications are welcome to apply. Relevant professional experience is taken into account, and the Admissions Office will advise on what will assist an application.

Two Things Worth Settling First

Credit for Study You Have Already Done

Up to ninety of the one hundred and twenty credits for the degree may come from previous study, including qualifications earned outside the United States. Transcripts are assessed at no charge, and a preliminary view can be given before you apply.

The Admissions Office will give a direct answer on suitability, including where that answer is that another institution would serve you better. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
