Saint Mary's Christian University was founded with a vision that most institutions considered impossible: give every student, regardless of geography or financial background, the same quality of one-to-one educational support that was historically reserved for the privileged few. Based in St. Petersburg, Florida, St. Mary's is not simply an online university. The research behind this approach is well established. In 1984, educational researcher Benjamin Bloom published his landmark 2-Sigma study demonstrating that students who received one-to-one tutoring performed two standard deviations better than students in traditional classrooms. The problem was always scale: you cannot hire a personal tutor for every student. Until now. St. Mary's was built from the ground up to solve Bloom's problem using AI, delivering individualized tutoring at scale while keeping faith at the center of every interaction.

At St. Mary's, we do not see a tension between cutting-edge technology and Christian faith. We see a calling. The Great Commission instructs us to teach all nations, and for two millennia, the Church has adopted every available tool to fulfill that mission, from the printing press to radio to the internet.
